Our Mission

Our mission is to develop aspiring baseball players who have a passion for the game and want to grow in every aspect of their life. We want to help players grow in their baseball careers but more importantly as young men. Everything we do emphasizes developing your baseball performance from every angle; improving your execution off the field will drastically improve your baseball career development.

Key Development Tools

  • Mechanics are very important to baseball. Whether you are a pitcher or a hitter, mechanics need to be addressed if there are serious issues. However, mechanics are not everything. We must develop as a person and a player if we want to be able to reach our full potential. With our Mechanical Analysis we are able to pin point strengths and weaknesses. Creating a mix of individualized drills and throwing program to enhance your baseball performance.

  • Strength and Conditioning not only improves your performance on the field, but it benefits your life as well, setting you up for long–term success. Our strength and conditioning program is constructed by expert real experience in the field. Our strength and conditioning coach has over 6 years of experience working with professional and collegiate athletes. Analyzing your movement patterns, we will create a program that integrates your accessibility and experience with your future goals.

  • Nutrition is something that can be used to enable a healthier more enjoyable life with the results you have always been dreaming of.

Food is fuel for your body. It allows us to take nutrients and give to our muscles. It is part of recovery, it is part of training, it is apart of sleep and it allows us to have vitality throughout our days. Nutrition fuels the engine of performance and allows us to accomplish the goals we desire.

  • No matter how hard you work, how much you lift, how fast you sprint, it won’t matter without the proper recovery and sleep. Sleep allows us to recharge our battery and adapt to the stress we put on our bodies on a daily basis. Sleep is the greatest performance enhancing drug. Sleep makes changes to your brain and body during your nighttime slumber. All the work you put in during the day is making little tears in your muscle fibers and tissues. As you sleep, this damage is healed. This is how you become bigger and stronger.

  • Mobility can keep you on the field, and that is the first priority as athletes. If we are unable to stay healthy and do not get the opportunity to compete, we cannot showcase our work and our talents to others. The performance itself is important, yet we must work to stay healthy and balance as we work ourselves hard daily.

  • Journaling is a great way to track and record what you think and feel throughout the day. You can have journals for anything you want in life. You could have a training journal, a sleep journal, a pitching journal, a private journal, a nightly journal, whatever you want. The point of these journals is to get your thoughts out and solidify them. When we are struggling with a certain pitch or a certain emotion, we can look back and analyze what we did when things were going right. Journaling allows us to create space between our thoughts and analyze them. When we give space between us and our thoughts we are able to adjust and execute.

  • Visualization is the act of seeing a series of events or an event in your mind. Similar to mediation you can do this practice in many ways. You can use it before practice, a game, a bullpen session anything. It is paired greatly with a meditation practice. Once you are in a space of stillness, you can see yourself, could be future, could be present. You see yourself executing the task down to the smallest detail.

  • Noise. Fans. Voices, both external and internal. Coaches. Parents. Everyone has an opinion, everyone creates noise. I know you’ve been on the mound and felt things flying around you, it becomes hard to concentrate, hard to lock in, hard to find that stillness and flow you’ve been looking for. If we have these thoughts in everyday life, how do we expect to just become quiet and ready when we touch the mound? That doesn’t happen, same with throwing, you do not automatically become unbelievably good at your craft, it takes years of training. Trying and failing. Learning and adjusting. Do not expect things to come if you do not plan and work for them. Meditation is the practice of stillness. The ability to become quiet in your mind and body. Seems like a good thing to do if you are looking to achieve focus and calmness.

  • Primal Baseball wants you to be a student. Reading is great way to broaden your horizons and learn from people all over the world. It takes authors years and years of studying, researching and writing their books. You can then access these resources for 20 bucks on Amazon and acquire this feedback in as little as a week if you read a lot. That is crazy, a legitimate life hack.
