Player Reviews

  • “Primal Baseball has done a great job personalizing their prompts and regiments for their athletes. For me personally, the journal prompts they've given me helped me understand who I am, and how I’m feeling. This ultimately affects my game and how I’m feeling on a day to day basis. Understanding my concerns, and learning what works for me has helped me become a better player.”

Mike Sirota (Center Fielder, Los Angeles Dodgers, 2022 Cape Cod All-League Team)

  • “Primal Baseball has been an excellent resource for me over the past year. Our conversations addressed some of my immediate needs, and they were able to create nutrition, visualization, and breath work plans to help take my game and preparation. The effort and care Primal Baseball puts into every client is second to none, they truly cares about your health and success on and off the field.”

Timmy Noone (Left-Handed Pitcher, Duke University)

  • I began working with the Primal Baseball program my sophomore year of high school and has been an excellent resource ever since. Working with my nutrition goals, mental performance, as well as some mechanical fixes has helped me improve immensely, and I shouldn’t be the only one to take advantage of the opportunity to work with people who know how to get athletes to the next level.

    Zack Davis (Pitcher, Bryant University)

  • "I spent the summer working with Primal Baseball on things like breath work, visualization, and just overall performance mentor. From a baseball stand point they made me aware of many things for the first time. Many lessons and strategies that Primal Baseball had me apply to baseball carried over into my everyday life and gave me a different outlook. I enjoy the way that PB provides advice, they has a way of putting things so they hit close to home and connect with my own thoughts. I would encourage anyone who is looking to taking the next step in baseball, or making themselves a better person to work with Primal Baseball."

Brett Dunham (Right-Handed Pitcher, Northeastern University)

  • “I started my Primal Program through my Freshman season and the help was tremendous. I began with the fueling plan as well as the Mental Performance Program. Between these two pieces, I have since gained 15 lbs of muscle and been able to mentally develop as a baseball player due to the consistent self reflection provided within the program. These pieces have helped me and I plan on continuing them throughout the remainder of my career, and I believe they’d do the same for any athlete wanting to reach their potential.”

Matt Brinker ( Catcher, Northeastern University)

  • "I started working with Primal Baseball as an 8th grader and with their help my progress has skyrocketed. With the throwing and the lifting programs and advice this is an elite way to get to the next level. If you’re looking to get better, or play competitively at the next level this will be the way to go. The programs will help you boost your confidence and consistency. If you're looking for a great coach, Primal Baseball is for you."

Alex Boone (Pitcher, Northeastern University Commit)

  • "Primal baseball has helped me gain velocity, as well as become more comfortable on the mound. I have also seen great development of all my pitches. It is amazing how fast the coaches will respond to any questions I ever have. All my charts and programs are extremely convenient, if I forget a drill or how to execute, I can just click a link and watch a video of my coach explaining the drill or the stretch so I don’t even have to ask. Primal baseball has been amazing"

Leo Sacerdote (Pitcher, Hanover HS 2028)

  • As a freshman in high school, I was underweight, physically weak, and dealing with several mechanical inefficiencies in my throwing. I knew I loved baseball, but my body and skill set simply weren’t where they needed to be to compete at the college level. Working with Primal Baseball completely changed that. Through their detailed approach to throwing mechanics, strength and conditioning, and overall athlete development, I was able to significantly increase my throwing velocity in the infield, outfield, and on the mound. Just as important, I learned how to properly prime my body before throwing, recover correctly, and fuel myself with the right nutrition to actually support the strength gains I was making. The combination of performance training and individualized coaching helped me transform my body, allowing me to hit the ball harder, throw faster, stay healthy and move more efficiently on the field. Primal Baseball didn’t just teach me to throw harder, they taught me how to train, prepare, and take care of my body to perform at the next level.

Jackson McBride, OF/IF, Bates College 2029)

  • Primal Baseball’s mental performance programs completely reshaped how I approach the game. At the plate, visualization techniques helped me feel more in control and locked in. On the mound, the breathing strategies allowed me to mentally reset and regain command during rough outings. Through personalized journal prompts and breathing exercises, I learned how to attack game day with a fresh mindset and a level of confidence I hadn’t experienced before working with Primal.

Mike Hathorn, Head Coach, Hartford Babe Ruth

Primal Baseball under the leadership of Jordy Allard, affectionately known as "Jordy Baseball," has been an absolute game-changer for our young athletes. His unwavering passion for the sport is infectious, inspiring our players to fall in love with the game even more. Beyond his profound knowledge of baseball, Jordy’s unique ability to nurture both the skills and mental fortitude of players at all levels has been instrumental in helping them unlock their full potential. Our program is incredibly fortunate to have him as a mentor and coach. Jordy empowers individuals to unlock their true potential, creating not just better players, but more resilient and confident individuals both on and off the diamond.

Pat McBride (Parent and Coach of Upper Valley Rauders)

“Primal Baseball is the perfect blend of experience and teaching. While their coaches have played the game at a high level and are incredibly knowledgeable, it is their passion for the sport, the growth of those they works with, and their patience that are the separators. PB doesn't use a "cookie cutter" approach like a lot of instructors; they tailors things to the individual player and engage with them in a way that builds confidence and skill. Jordy worked with my son a few years ago and it was clear to see that he not only knows what he is doing but legitimately enjoys sharing his knowledge and seeing the kids succeed. For older kids, they offer much more than physical coaching; bringing a a mental approach, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and guidance on future plans as well. Above all else, Primal Baseball is passionate about kids from NH and VT maximizing their potential and giving them the tools they need to do that."

(Seamus Tynes Mother)

“We feel very fortunate to have found Primal Baseball. Jordy has been able to form a connection with my son which has allowed them to work together easily to build both skill and confidence. My son responded to Jordy’s instruction and he reports “I understand what Jordy is telling me to do and it makes it easier for me to pitch”. Our family holds Primal Baseball in the highest regard.”

“Without question, Primal Baseball excels at teaching the fundamentals of baseball. They draw from their deep experience as a player (as pitchers, have excelled at the highest level of collegiate competition) and as students of the game. While I’m sure there are plenty of coaches who can teach the fundamentals, what sets Primal Baseball apart is his ability to coach the mental side of the game—probably the most important and difficult part of the game to teach. Jordy has become a family friend and incredible mentor to our son.”

Brian Melzer, Head Coach, Upper Valley Ambush

Primal Baseball did a terrific job in coaching our 11- and 12-year olds. I love their approach of teaching kids to move athletically and throw efficiently. Their training develops fundamental skills that are not just useful for pitchers but also for position players. Their throwing progressions are also quite creative, which helps to challenge players and keep them engaged

Mike Grant, Head Coach, Belmont Youth Baseball

Primal Baseball was instrumental in our teams improvement in all phases of the game. They has a deep knowledge of technical skills needed in baseball, but was able to verbalize that understanding in ways 10 and 11 year olds could digest and apply. As a player himself, Jordy was also incredibly helpful with the mental aspects of the game, teaching the boys how to handle adversity and find joy in the game they love.

Robert Cramer, President of Norwich Youth Baseball

Primal Baseball knows how to teach baseball. My 12 year old son had a blast working with them on pitching fundamentals and hitting strategy. The session was so successful I invited Jordy to come help out at our 12u All-Star team practice. He really connected with the kids, sharing his baseball knowledge and love of the game!

John Malcolm, President of Woodstock Youth Baseball

Primal Baseball has been a fantastic asset to our players and coaches. We recently ran two week-long semi-private clinics for our pitchers. The feedback we received from players and their families was extremely positive. They got help breaking down their mechanics - all while having fun! We also saw immediate improvement from our players. We look forward to future engagements with Primal Baseball for the betterment of our program and players.

Keith Lockwood, President of Belmont Youth Baseball

Primal Baseball has been a blessing for Belmont Youth Baseball.  For many years now, Jordy has led winter training programs for BYBS and hosted in-season pitching clinics.  We have seen tremendous growth and development in our players under his tutelage.  His accomplishments as a Division 1 NCAA pitcher are second only to his teaching and coaching skills.  Jordy is wonderful with our kids, and at all ages - from those little ones learning to play all the way through our aspiring high school athletes.  If you are looking for baseball instruction, there is no one I would recommend more highly than Primal Baseball
