Throwing Programs

  • Before starting any program with us, you will receive a free consultation. Here you can ask us any questions you have regarding the program, as well as any concerns you may have for you or your child. We are happy to explain our reasoning behind everything we do, to ensure you are getting the resources and tools you need to succeed. If we are not what you are looking for, we are happy to point you in the right direction. We are here to help you succeed whether it is with us or not.

  • To start our throwing programs each pitcher or player will need to submit videos of mechanics for us to analyze. We will give a free mechanical analysis and schedule a phone call to go over the information with you.

  • Once our mechanical analysis is complete, we will create an individualized program to attack your strengths and weaknesses. Complete with plyo drills, throwing drills, and volume and intensity each day. We will craft a throwing schedule for you. This way each day is mapped out with a plan of attack. No guessing involved. We will meet you where you are at, taking your goals, your current ability, your resources and your interests into account.

  • We are here to give you the processes that will make you your own coach. We will not be there when you are on the mound during a game. We will work with you to create and develop mental cues and tips to help you manage the game as it speeds up on you. We will work closely with you to develop game strategies and plans to best attack your opponents.

  • We will have weekly calls with a coach available to you. If you do not want to FaceTime or call we also offer text support for any questions or concerns in your program.

  • This assessment is the starting point to our Mental Performance program. Primal Baseball created an assessment based on the experience of all of our coach’s playing and coaching careers. We designed an assessment to understand you better as a person. We want to get to know you as a human being first, and then a baseball player. Once the assessment is filled out, we can learn more about your goals, mindset and strengths. We can help create journal prompts, visualization guides and breathing techniques to enhance your baseball performance.

  • Journaling is a great way to track and record what you think and feel throughout the day. You can have journals for anything you want in life. Over the years journaling has been one of the key development tools we have used to better our performance. Using the assessment we will write creative and thought provoking journal questions which will allow you to grow closer to yourself as a player and as a person. Putting pen to paper will help you develop the “why” behind your actions and will allow you to distance yourself from your failures. Journaling when used correctly can be a huge advantage over the competition.

  • As part of the Mental Performance Program we include book recommendations. Books are a great way to learn from outside sources. Books are a great vehicle for knowledge and allow us to learn life lessons applicable on and off the diamond. We use books to deepen your understanding of the lessons that will help you thrive as a player and a human. You can access our Free Recommendations Here.

  • Within our Mental Performance Program we include Visualization and Breathwork Guides tailored toward your needs and desires. We will use your assessment and your interests to design a program that enhances your connection to the game of baseball, as well as life as a whole. Baseball and life are very interconnected and you can grow in both capacities at once.

Strength and Conditioning

  • All of your questions and concerns can be answered during your call with our strength and conditioning coach. If you are struggling to unlock your potential and are falling short in the weight room, get together with us this off-season and turn your season around. Our onboarding helps us understand who you are as a player and a person and allows us to get a better understanding on how we can assist you in becoming an all around player and better person.

  • Our assessment is a movement screen that allows us to see how you move and the areas in which we can help improve. Based on your assessment we will formulate a plan of attack and program exercises and movements into the program that will attack weaknesses and keep strengths, strengths. Our assessment is a quick and easy process complete with videos and tutorials on how to do the movements so we are able to see them best and help you reach your potential.

  • Strength and Conditioning not only improves your performance on the field, but it benefits your life as well, setting you up for long–term success. You start to see this wave affecting all different spaces in your life, baseball being one of them. Even if you are as stretched as can be, you are better off being really strong and athletic, because as the studies show, you are going to be less likely to be injured during than the most flexible guy out there. Our program will help you become a beast of an athlete, this is great for not only baseball performance but everyday life. You will feel confident, feel the energy you have. Now that you have less aches and pains you will be able to go harder, recovering faster and faster. Your performance will become a snowball, picking up momentum and affecting your life in the best ways possible.

  • Mobility can keep you on the field, and that is the first priority as athletes. If we are unable to stay healthy and do not get the opportunity to compete, we cannot showcase our work and our talents to others. The performance itself is important, yet we must work to stay healthy and balance as we work ourselves hard daily. Mobility is a key to recovery, within our programs we include individualized mobility work to do pre-workout in order for your body to become more mobil in specific areas we want to focus on. This mobility will allow you to perform at a higher level with a lower risk of injury.

  • Breakdown of Carbs, Protein, Fats and Calories. Calculated to your specific goals and needs. Whether you are trying to gain mass or lean out, this is the program for you.

    Log included to help you keep track of nutrients and help you stay on top of your nutrition goals.

  • Based on our consult and assessment, we will create and supply a fueling guide and fueling options plan for you. We will use your goals to create an enjoyable and performance enhancing fueling plan. We understand that you are going to want a variety of meals in order to have fun and enjoy the fuel you are creating and consuming. We will create options for every meal including snacks, dessert and shakes. We will work with you and add specific things you enjoy having.

  • Included in our Nutrition program is a grocery list so you know exactly what to get and what to avoid. Our goal is to make the process of fueling for performance simple and efficient. Our goal is to use a cost-effective approach for families and college players looking to shop on a budget. We promise it is possible to get quality food for fueling at a good price.   • We will provide tips and advice to maximize your shopping, cooking and fueling experience. We make sure to ad what to look out for, as well as nutrition tips we have learned throughout our playing and coaching careers. There is a way to fuel efficiently even when your class or traveling schedule becomes crazy.
