What to expect within a Primal Baseball Training Program-
Warm Ups - Based on the your assessment the warmup will have drills, movement challenges, or games to get your body moving more effectively.
Sprint Work - Sprinting is one of the most effective ways to develop power and athleticism so it will be include in almost every program.
MB Training and Plyometrics - Designed to develop explosive power and rotational athleticism this section will have a combination of jumping and medicine ball throws.
Strength Training - Strength training will be tailored to your needs. For some people strength is a limiting factor, for others it is not. In either case we want to build an exceptional base of movement quality before layering on load and intensity so do not be surprised if your first program does not contain a high amount of heavy lifting but if that is your rate limiter it will be built in in subsequent programs.
Armcare - In general we believe in a total body approach to arm care. This means that following a proper strength training program that emphasizes movement quality will be more effective than any specific arm care drill. That being said in some cases specific drills may be appropriate in which case they will be added into your warmup or training session.
Energy System Development - Commonly known as conditioning, depending on your training goals and needs some specific conditioning protocols may be programmed at the end of your sessions. This is oftentimes an area that is overlooked and can provide great return when it comes to improving performance later into games, improving recovery between high intensity sessions, and improving overall movement.
